Our Approach

Begin Your Journey Now

Our curriculum focuses on practical methods to integrate the Enneagram's transformative power within your professional practice to provide practical and often, immediate applications.

The Enneagram Approach™ is a groundbreaking process integrating Enneagram Theory with the Twelve Steps of Recovery to create a powerful  and pragmatic process to guide clients towards life giving change and fulfilling relationships.

This training provides a foundation for relating to the Enneagram as a psycho-spiritual system for transformation offering a grounded balance of intellectual understanding and experiential approaches.  Participants will gain deep insights into the full spectrum of human consciousness, strategies for development, methods of self-observation and a clear feel for the inner world of each type.

There is not a one-size fits all approach to working with clients and because the Enneagram describes the strengths and potentials of nine distinct personality types as well as the unconscious patterns of perception and attention inherent to each personality type it is compatible with most therapeutic and coaching modalities.

Our asynchronous learning platform offers a dynamic integration of modalities including video lectures and group assignments between sessions, allowing time for live interviews, breakout groups and inquiry during the online experience. Our days are paced to integrate breaks and physical movement between screen time. Participants will gain practical experience to develop effective plans for client intervention and collaboration for a growth trajectory.

OUR CURRICULUM

PART I

Journey from Powerlessness to Surrender

The Enneagram Approach framework will be established in this module. Using an overview of the history and development of the Enneagram as a psycho spiritual system coupled with a pragmatic process of behavior change leading towards spiritual growth. Participants will have a solid framework to immediately apply the Enneagram Approach. Live Panel Interviews will be conducted, providing participants with a context relatable to their clients.

Topics include: In depth presentation of each of the nine personality types including the core belief systems, strengths, challenges, defense patterns, cutting edge neuroscience, and mindfulness practices. The practice of Compassionate Inquiry will be introduced as a method to support insights into the full spectrum of personality and potential. Participants will engage in inquiry practices, group discussions and small work groups.

PART  II

Journey from Story to Clarity

We all get stuck in our stories, and a “fearless and searching moral inventory” gives an objective look at behavioral patterns as opposed to a subjective overlay. Our unconscious instinctual drives are often at the root of our interpersonal conflicts. These instincts reflect our values, determine how we prioritize our time and are clearly observable in our day-to-day behaviors. Through an in-depth presentation of the Self-Preservation, Sexual (or One to One), and Social Instincts, participants will gain insights into the unconscious motivations and values. Live Panel Interviews with 27 Enneagram subtypes will shed light on the instinctual variants and clarify the habitual emotional and behavioral patterns.

Topics include: The core value system of the instincts, predictable patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving; dominant, secondary and blind instincts and how to balance them. A concrete method to inventory observable behavior patterns and conflicts. Participants will practice these methods and design collaborative interventional strategies to address the challenges of client commitment, accountability and development of self-care plans.

PART III

Journey from Amends to Authentic Relationships

Maintaining integrity in every aspect of our lives and most importantly in our relationships is the key to fulfilling relationships. Through an in-depth presentation of relational patterns and dynamics, participants will gain insights into the full spectrum of predictable interpersonal behavior from an integrated and non-integrated perspective. Live Panel Interviews will reveal the relational challenges as well as the developmental path for each Enneagram Type.

Topics include: Riso-Hudson Levels of Development, Object Relation Theory and Conflict resolution. Strategies and interventions for specific and sustained behavior changes, within the context of a specific relationship will be discussed as the pathway to effective conflict resolution and increased capacity to deepen intimate and important relationships.
